The Stump, St. Johns Anglian church and Jim FitzWillliam.

Before I had Multiple Sclerosis I always thought the top of St. Johns Anglian Church in Port Fairy would give a good perspective of the town and would make a great photo. I talked to Jim FitzWilliam, who has passed away now but was involved with the church at the time, asking if it was alright for me do it? He was very helpful and showed me where a key was that would let me in to a room where an old handmade ladder was that I would climb to get me up there. Scary I thought as I’m not real good with heights! Later that day I thought I’d do it! One thing in my favour it was a fine day and good for photos. As I climbed the ladder with my photography gear, 'Don’t look down' I thought as I neared the top! The view of Port Fairy from the top of the church was spectacular as I had hoped and I now have the photos to prove it. Seeing the Stump with  the bowling club behind it was also great to see!
